The legal tampering period opens today at noon, which means teams are "now" "officially" "allowed" to begin negotiating with free agents, as opposed to the completely unrelated conversations that definitely did not happen over the past two weeks (looking at you, Wan'Dale Robinson.)

Deals will be agreed to instantly.
Contracts will somehow be fully negotiated in six minutes.
Agents will tweet emojis.
And by tonight half the league will have “unexpectedly” agreed to multi-year deals with players they definitely hadn’t been talking to.

We’ll be live blogging the chaos as it unfolds, reacting to signings, trades, rumors, and whatever else lies ahead.

He wanted to go to a team with similar uniform colors, and many think this is the best he could do.

In the last couple years, the 49ers have lost almost their entire WR core. Deebo Samuel was traded, Brandon Aiyuk went insane, and Jauan Jennings is expected to find greener pastures in free agency this year. 49ers are building a juggernaut of old guys. Let's see if it works.

His commentary -

I don't think Likely will command a big contract. He was a fantasy darling for years, and the Ravens seemed poised to let Mark Andrews walk in favor of the 25-year-old Likely, but that changed after a combination of injury concerns and general regression. I don't feel confident in this pick, because I don't really know how the league feels about Likely, but the Giants might be looking to improve the TE room alongside "Zach Guy" Theo Johnson, and Likely could be a low-risk, high-reward option.
